“Drifting Sand” Poem...

“Bring You Flowers” is a new page in the Galaxy Cafe section. This page is dedicated to our troops  & their families, and is meant to honor those who are serving our country. “Bring You Flowers” is a song written and performed by Kristen Scott, a new artist on DesertSnow. The song is about a young woman who lost her husband in the war in Afghanistan, and is now raising her son alone. This song is based on a true story. As we celebrate the holidays, please remember our troops and their families in your prayers and in your gifts,  whatever you are able to do for them.

For God so loved each and every person throughout all ages that he sent his only Son (a Prince) to this world as a homeless man (a Pauper)...that whoever would believe that he really is a Prince and accept his death (as payment for the things they have done wrong),  they would not lose themselves (die) but inherit the true riches (that  will never fade), and live forever with God...John 3:16“The foxes have their dens, and the birds have their nests, but I, the Messiah (Jesus Christ) do not have a place to lay my head.”   Matthew 8:20

The Galaxy Cafe has “food for the soul,” and includes special features about musicians around the world. As time goes on, more artists will be added. During the holiday season, new articles, videos, and art will be  added. I hope you enjoy these pages. If there is something you would  like to see in this section, especially with regard to our troops and their families, please send us an email at support@desertsnow.org - thanks!

This page is dedicated to Amelia Sundblad and her family and friends. Amelia was a CSU student and loved and worked with horses. One day in the Fall of 2013 she suddenly slipped away into eternity as she lay on her bed in her dormitory room. It was a terrible shock to everyone. She had just graduated from high school and was a new student. This page is in memory of her life and the wonderful person she was. It is also intended to offer hope and promise to those who miss her dearly...

The Horses They Ran

The horses they ran

Amidst dusty clouds rising

Motion flowing like ocean waves

Rumbling across the ground

And the mighty sound

Stole away the stillness...

And Amelia was found

Riding in the midst of it all...

The horses slowed down and then stopped -

Amidst yellow flowers rising

Growing upwards to the sun

Reaching for the light...

And the quiet sounds of the meadow

Stole away Amelia's heart

And she was found

Dreaming in the midst of it all...

The horses gathered around

Amelia wearing muddy boots

And their eyes stared with expectation

Looking for her kindness

And as they listened for her words

She stole away their attention

And she was found

In the midst of their power and grace...

But one day she left the meadow

- Suddenly -

And we didn't even get a chance to say "Goodbye."

It just feels... ...like a lie.

And the night came

And the winter cold

And the silence

Surrounded the barren trees

Whose leaves were gone with the wind

And she was no more...

We thought... she must be in the meadow...

Riding in the midst of stallions

And everyone has looked

Day and night...-

But she's not there...

She's not anywhere

-

And we can't find her - anymore...

But listen carefully as you walk with the moon

And the drifting clouds in the meadow...

And the trees though barren

Join in with hope in every moon beam

And every part of nature

Joins the singing -

- That we shall see her again -

By the tree never barren

Never cold or old or sorrow laden

"The tree of life

Whose leaves are for the healing of the nations...

And there will be no more curse

Or death or crying or pain"

They will all vanish

Forevermore

- Quicker than you can blink an eye -

Death shall die

And the last enemy of God

Shall be no more...

"He is not the God of the dead,

But he is the God of the living..."

"And the grass withers

And the flower fades

But the word of our God

Stands forever..."

And someday by the crystal waters

And the tree of life

We will find her again

Smiling - and welcoming us home -

Where death does not sting

Where life will never bring

Any terrible news

Again...

I Peter 1:24-25  Revelation 22:1-6

Mark 12:27 I Corinthians 15:24-26

Death is God's enemyI Corinthians 15:26

Jesus came at Christmas time to become the destroyer of death.  Hebrews 2:14-15

He died like us, but he came alive again, and shall raise us from the dead!  John 11:25-26

He is the only one who was alive before he was born, and who was alive after he died. Hebrews 7:16

He is the "Descendent and root (ancestor) of (king) David."  Revelation 22:16

Would you like to have eternal life? It is free! Just accept it:

"Dear Lord Jesus, please come into my life, forgive me of all that I have done wrong, and help me to forgive those who have hurt me. Please be my friend and my Lord forever."

These aren't just words. They are words that bring eternal life because of all that Jesus has done. They are words of a legal commitment on God's part just because you have accepted his free gift, believing in his Son, Jesus Christ.

"I give eternal life to them, and they will never die; and no one will snatch them out of my hand." John 10:28

Amelia was snatched from all who loved her by God's enemy, death. But even death cannot snatch her from God's hand as he caught her and kept her safe and sound forevermore.
